Learning Object 2

Introduction

Enjoy learning about 3D polyhedron shapes with our range of interesting activities. Find information about cubes, pyramids, tetrahedrons, dodecahedrons, and more. See what they look like, how many faces they have and learn some new vocabulary in this wonderful world of geometry. To continue this journey, we invite you to complete the following worksheet and hand it in to your teachers to see how much you know about 3D shapes already Solids.pdf (109,1 kB). Later on you will be provided with the answer key to check your answers.

Before moving on, click here ANSWER KEY FOR SOLIDS WORKSHEET.pdf (113,5 kB) to check the answers of the solids worksheet.

Objectives

To identify the names of three dimensional geometric shapes (cube, rectangular solid, square pyramid, sphere, cone and cylinder)

To identify the number of sides, corners or square corners, and the faces of each three dimensional shape (as listed above).

To find similar three dimensional geometric objects in everyday life, document and describe them.
